Description

A spinal epidural injection is a medical procedure in which medication is injected into the epidural space around the spinal cord. The epidural space is the area between the outer layer of the spinal cord (the dura mater) and the inside of the vertebral bones. This type of injection is commonly used to treat various conditions that cause pain and inflammation in the back, neck, or legs, such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and degenerative disc disease.
